Zünc Studio took the creative lead on the launch campaign for The Splash, artist Daniel Arsham’s first wristwatch design for Hublot, following on from their successful debut collaboration with The Droplet pocket watch. The work was shown across digital platforms and in-store, as well as on large-scale screens at the launch event in Singapore. The VIP event unveiled the first look at the watch, featuring an immersive sound and visual experience designed in different stages of the evening. The MP-17 Meca-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire is a wearable sculpture as much as it is a feat of watchmaking mastery. A limited run of 99 pieces were created.

We designed, directed and crafted a hero film and a suite of other visuals for the global launch campaign. The design of the watch itself is inspired by the movement of water, helping inform the narrative of the film we crafted. From the quiet anticipation of ripples to a dramatic crown splash, we found water (rendered in CGI) an endless source of inspiration. Mesmerising forms and movements were captured alongside the watch itself, to create a reveal film celebrating the watch as well as the substance that inspired its organic forms.
